The Prophet (SAWA)despised sublimity, haughtiness, and selfishness. Ibn Abbas narrated: "One day, I walked behind the messenger of Allah to see if he hated walking behind him or liked it. He caught me with his hand and made me beside him, and thus I knew that he hated that (walking behind him)." (1) He hated to be received with glorification and praising. He often said to his companions: "Do not get up for me as foreigners get up glorifying each other!" (2)
